Open Ph.D. candidate Positions at the Institute Lorentz for Theoretical Physics in Leiden
The Institute Lorentz for Theoretical Physics in Leiden has an opening for a PhD candidate starting the fall of 2018. We seek candidates with a strong independent background and active interest in string theory, holography, black holes and the tantalizing connection with quantum information theory. As part of the Delta-Institute for Theoretical physics, there are close contacts with the String theory Groups in Amsterdam and Utrecht and with the Theoretical Physics group in Groningen. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to and benefit from these joint collaborations. This position is funded through the Program “Scanning New Horizons” of the Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM) which is part of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO).
